On Monday 21th October, the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of WA has launched its new agribusiness platform: AusFrench Trade. This platform aims to develop and facilitate the flow of exports and imports of fresh products between Western Australia and France.
For the launch of this platform, we were very pleased to welcome a delegation from NOVOVIANDE, a key player in the distribution of fresh food in France, represented by its founder and CEO Mr Rene Gillet, Eleonore Levy -Managing Director Novoviande Australia and Shamim Babaii – Export Manager Novoviande Australia. During that visit, our FACCI organized the visit of Murdoch University on November 18 and we would like to thank the Murdoch professors for their presentation.
We concluded our mission in hosting a Business Seminar on November 21 in order to introduce the Group Novoviande to the State Governement and to showcase the capabilities of WA in the production of quality fresh products.
We were delighted to have as our special guests speakers John Shute, Country Manager, Europe, Middle East & Africa, International Trade & Investment, Resources & Industry Development from the Department of State Development and Rob Delane, Special Adviser for Agribusiness Expansion at the Department of State Development, Dr Peter McGilchrist and Sarah Bonny from Murdoch University and introducing René Gillet and Eleonore Levy from Novoviande France and Australia as a business case for our platform.
We would like to thank Ernst & Young for sponsoring that event.
