    How to set-up your business in Australia - Thursday 27 July

    The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to a business briefing evening on Thursday 27 July from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the new premises of our Patron member Pitcher Partners.

    This event will be the opportunity to meet a panel of 4 professionals who will guide you through the process of setting-up a business in Australia. Specialised in Accounting & Tax (Pitcher Partners), Migration (EMSA), Commercial Law (Albatross Lawyers) and Banking (CBA flagship), our experts will be able to answer your questions. Please do not hesitate to send us by Friday 21 July any specific questions you may have.

    Note that this event is FREE for all FACCI members and will include drinks and canapes thanks to the generous support of our host Pitcher Partners.

    Simon Chun | Partner Tax Division at Pitcher Partners

    Simon is a Chartered Accountant and has over 12 years of experience delivering high value advice in the corporate tax, M&A due diligence and commercial joint venture structuring space. He has been the lead tax structuring and due diligence advisor to some of the largest acquisitions and divestments in this space in recent times, some of them involving US and UK based international corporate groups.

    Laurent Corgnet | Founder and Principal of Albatross Lawyers

    A boutique law firm based on the Gold Coast, Albatross Lawyers specialises in franchising, commercial and immigration laws. Laurent was admitted in the legal profession as a solicitor by the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2008. He has been actively involved for more than 10 years in the franchising industry with an international group which owns a chain of food retail outlets in several continents. His duties ranged from legal services to a full operational CEO position in the USA.

    Shannon Semenikow | Founder and Director of Education and Migration Services Australia (EMSA)

    A Canadian born Australian, Shannon founded EMSA in 2010. A qualified Migration Agent and Education Counsellor, Shannon leads a team of professionals worldwide that helps individuals achieve their education and migration dreams. Every year, EMSA assists several hundred people to come to Australia to study, work or migrate permanently. EMSA also helps corporate clients with recruiting and navigating Australia’s visa system.

    Shailen Bhana | Business Banking Specialist at the Commonwealth Bank’s Flagship Branch, 240 Queen Street Brisbane

    As the Business Banking Specialist at the Commonwealth Bank’s Flagship Branch, Shailen is responsible for securing and enhancing the financial well-being of business clients in Brisbane CBD areas.
