GLNG project update and overview of LNG trends - Thursday 15 March

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to its first Energy & Resources event of the year with Rod Duke, Chief Executive Officer GLNG Operations Pty Ltd and Vice President GLNG Downstream Santos Limited, on Thursday 15 March.

As one of Queensland's three liquefied natural gas (LNG) producers, GLNG has developed coal seam gas resources in the Surat and Bowen Basins where it connects to the domestic gas network. GLNG also operates a 420km transmission pipeline from the Surat Basin to Curtis Island, where its two LNG processing units at Curtis Island, off Gladstone prepare the gas for export. With $18.5bn already invested, GLNG will continue to invest to maintain production, including the upcoming Roma East project.

Rod will provide an update on GLNG's progress, and its upcoming capital and operational plans. We also look forward to your questions on how Queensland's large-scale CSG producers are filling gas supply gaps in the Eastern Australian gas market and to Rod's view on the current realities of the global LNG market.

The event will include a light buffet dinner* and drinks kindly offered by our host and Corporate member, DLA Piper.

Rod Duke | Chief Executive Officer, GLNG Operations Pty Ltd - Vice President GLNG Downstream, Santos Limited

The US$18.5 billion Santos GLNG project converts coal seam gas resources into liquefied natural gas for export under 20-year sales contracts to Malaysia and Korea. Rod successfully delivered the 420 kilometre long gas transmission pipeline and the 2 train LNG plant on Curtis Island. He has overall responsibility for project execution, commissioning & startup, ongoing plant & pipeline operations, commercial, LNG marketing and production planning for GLNG. With a capacity of 7.8 million tonnes per annum, GLNG is one of Australia’s largest resource projects, employing around 14,000 people at peak construction and more than 1,000 during ongoing operations.
