FACCI WA launched its 4th Event on the 7th of June this year. We had the pleasure to welcome the most famous french-australian singer, Mrs. Tina Arena who by having adopted the two cultures was our first guest choice for this event. “Chez Pierre” restaurant was the perfect venue to greet our guests as it is, as quoted in the press release on the 30th of March 2012 “Home of fine French cuisine in Perth”.
The FACCI association welcomed 30 guests among several VIP, such as:
· Honorable Barry House, President of The Legislative Council of WA
· Aurelio Costarella Creative Director
· Sam Barnett and Louise Burgler from Atlas South Sea Pearl
· Suzanne Fleming film executive producer of the well-known book “Almost French”
· Françoise and Jean-François Letellier General Manager of GDF Suez Bonaparte
· Stephen Mc Allan from WASO
· Tim Woods Entertainment Manager
This event was about bringing an opportunity to nurture this amazing relationship between two different nations. Not only to foster it but also to liaise with diverse French and Australian companies in order to illustrate the importance of networking and involvement in cultural links.
The president of the FACCI Christine Caseris has welcomed the guests with a speech that first greeted Tina Arena and then explained how and why France admired the talent of the singer and her dedication in promoting the French Culture in Australia. In addition, Christine also mentioned how Tina Arena got awarded by the past French President Nicolas Sarkozy, for her passion and love for the French culture, with the Knighthood of the order of National merit. FACCI WA presented to Tina a gift of recognition, purely designed in WA and kindly donated from Atlas South Sea Pearl.
After the ‘toast’ on her honour, champagne and French cocktails were displayed on the tables, and everyone among all Patron members from FACCI had the chance to finally meet her in person.
This extraordinary event allowed a great entertaining opportunity to expand and raise not only a good business development through networking but also to show the Australian and the French community how much we care and enjoy the amazing exchange between the two nations.
