The 2016 Annual Report was presented at the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Federal Annual General Meeting, held on Thursday 30th March at HSBC Bank Australia, in Barangaroo, Sydney. This event was attended by 100 Members of the Australian Chamber, the NSW and Federal Boards of the French-Australian Chamber, the French Embassy, the French Consulate and Business France.
The Annual Report was introduced by François Romanet, National President of the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The Chamber recorded a Membership of 496 Members nationwide, assisted by a total of about 100 events held across Australia, with 12,650 attendees. Some of the events included the Innovation Business Forum in Sydney, the Bastille Day Business Breakfast in Queensland, CEO Lunch with Tennis Australia in Victoria, and the 'Africa Down Under Conference' in Western Australia.
The Annual Report explored the French-Australian Chamber's Trade & Business Services and the development of Business Services offered, as well as the launch of the new Overseas Membership category for individuals and businesses based abroad. The Chamber’s Communications and Publications from the past year were also looked at, demonstrating growing activity across all platforms.
Finally, the Financial Report showcases the Chamber’s financial growth over the course of 2016.
