Four Frogs Crêperie will open their third restaurant in Sydney’s iconic Circular Quay at Gateway Sydney, Alfred Street Circular Quay.
The Four Frogs Crêperie success story began in 2013, with the opening of Sydney’s first authentic French crêperie in Mosman. Following the success of the Mosman crêperie, the group opened a second crêperie in Randwick’s popular foodie hub “The Spot” in 2014.
Four Frogs Crêperie was born from the idea of bringing delicious, authentic crêpes to Australians. Four French friends living in Australia, the “Four Frogs”, fell in love with Australia’s beautiful beaches, perfect climate and welcoming Sydneysiders. The only thing they were missing? Excellent crêpes.
Florian Guillemard, Four Frogs chef and co-founder, says: “In France we love our crêpes. Whether sweet or savoury – called galettes – they are a delicious meal, traditionally enjoyed with a glass of cider or white wine and some good company.
“Opening our third outlet in the vibrant heart of Sydney’s CBD was a natural move following the success of our first two restaurants in the north and south.”
The opening of the third Four Frogs Crêperie is part of the development of Gateway Sydney by DEXUS Property Group, a new dining precinct along Alfred Street Circular Quay which will open seven days a week from early until late.
Florian, originally from Bretagne – the region in Western France renowned as the birthplace of the crêpe – ensures the Four Frogs crêpes only use the best ingredients, following traditional family recipes passed down through generations.
The Four Frogs savoury crêpes are made using organic Australian buckwheat flour milled on premises to maximise taste and ensure freshness.
“Buckwheat is rich in fiber and protein, is highly nutritious and is naturally gluten free. Our crêpes are always made to order with fresh and delicious natural ingredients,” says Florian.
Four Frogs Crêperie Circular Quay opens on Thursday 1 September.
Opening hours are 7am until late. Prices start from $6.50 ($5 take away) for a butter and sugar crêpe and $10 ($8 Take away) for a ham and cheese galette.
