Château Merveilles: an immersive gala dinner at the MCEC

On Thursday 22 October 2026, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will host Château Merveilles, a black-tie dinner for 1,000 guests. Over four courses with wine pairings, a 3,028 m² hall will feature immersive projections exploring French art de vivre through heritage, gastronomy, craftsmanship and vineyards.

The menu has been created by three French chefs based in Melbourne: Guillaume Brahimi, Pierrick Boyer and Quentin Zerr. The evening is organised in partnership with the French Australian Cultural Exchange Foundation (FACEF), chaired by Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie, with part of the proceeds supporting the foundation’s programmes. It will take place in the presence of the Ambassador of France to Australia and the President of FACEF, bringing together French and Australian business leaders, institutional representatives and Victorian elected officials, alongside members of the Franco-Australian community.

A Franco-Australian project

Château Merveilles has been developed with Australian partners from the outset: the MCEC and Century Venues, Melbourne-based chefs and suppliers, Australian artists, and a communication programme delivered with local agencies. A laureate of the France 2030 export programme for the cultural and creative industries, the project is supported by Business France and the Embassy of France in Australia through their Cultural and Creative Industries (ICC) programme, with the support of the Alliance Française de Melbourne.
