Guillaume Fillet Appointed New President of Le Festival 2026 - Brisbane French Festival

Guillaume Fillet succeeds Betty Moinet as President of Le Festival 2026 - Brisbane French Festival
Guillaume Fillet brings over 10 years of engineering and project management experience across the manufacturing and food industries, in both France and Australia.
After moving to Australia in 2018, Guillaume joined Volvo Trucks as a Production Engineer, continuing the career he began in France within the automotive sector. He has since developed his expertise in capital project delivery and currently works as a Project Manager in the food industry, leading multidisciplinary teams on complex industrial projects.
Alongside his professional career, Guillaume has been deeply involved in community associations and volunteering. Coming from a family where community engagement has always played a key role - his parents met through an association, and his mother served as national president of a parents’ organisation - he naturally pursued similar commitments after settling in Brisbane.
Guillaume first discovered Le Festival – Brisbane French Festival in 2023 as a volunteer and quickly became a key member of the team. He joined the Logistics Committee in 2024, was appointed Head of Operations in 2025, and now serves as President for the 2026 edition.
As President, Guillaume oversees the strategic direction and operational delivery of Le Festival, leading a dedicated team of volunteers to deliver Queensland’s largest celebration of French culture.
He said:
"Le Festival is an incredible adventure - a project built on passion, collaboration, and community spirit. It’s a unique opportunity to bring people together from all cultures to experience the richness of French culture and leave with a smile."
For the 2026 edition, Guillaume is focused on building a new team, strengthening communication and marketing, and laying the groundwork for the Festival’s long-term growth and success.
