Neodyme Australia is proud to welcome Jonathan Hernando as their new Director!

Jonathan brings over a decade of experience in industrial safety, project coordination and management, as well as operational leadership across France and the Pacific.

Born and raised in Lorraine, Jonathan grew up in the Fensch valley, a region shaped by its metallurgical and mining heritage.  He started his career at Neodyme France in the Paris agency. During 3 years, Jonathan provided numerous hazards and risks studies and analysis in France and in French overseas electrical facilities for Electricité de France (e.g. Avignon, Nantes, French Guyana, Guadeloupe, Saint Martin).

Jonathan Hernando joins the Caledonian team in the APAC region in 2016 as Process Safety Engineer, project and pole manager. In 2017, he becomes Technical Coordinator marking his entry into management before being appointed Director of Operations in 2020, a role he still holds today.

Throughout these many years, Jonathan, supported by his whole team, has demonstrated his capabilities tonavigate numerous crises and tricky situations, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the various economic and social downturns in the nickel sector, and New Caledonia’s 2024 institutional crisis.

Currently serving as Director of Neodyme Australia and New Caledonia, he is also a member of the Neodyme Group’s Board of Directors.

His appointment reflects Neodyme Group’s commitment to expanding Neodyme services on the Australian market and delivering environmental and safety solutions through the APAC region.
