BRISBANE Event report
QLD | 2021 European Tchin Tchin Networking evening
Our Queensland Chapter was delighted to partner with a record 10 European Chambers for its annual European Tchin Tchin Networking Evening!
The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland Chapter, in partnership with a record 10 European bilateral Chambers of Commerce, held the 7th edition of it European Tchin Tchin Networking evening on Thursday 18 November.
This year we were delighted to partner again with the German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish, Austrian, Finnish, Irish, Slovenian and Maltese Chambers and to welcome representatives from Belgium and Poland for the first time.
This event is a great opportunity to celebrate the great bond between Australia and the European Union, which was Australia's 3rd largest trading partner in 2020. Our Federal President, Brian Lorigan, took the opportunity to officially announce the creation of the European Union Representative Economies Queensland Alliance (EUREQA), which will formally federate the European Chambers and Honorary Consuls of the member countries of the EU in Queensland. The objectives of EUREQA are to foster business, trade and investment as well as cultural relationships between Queensland and the European Union by leveraging opportunities at a market, business, and relationship level.
The evening was also the perfect occasion to announce the creation of the innovative German Australian Business Alliance (iGABA), represented by Tea Dietterich on the night. As of the 19th of November 2021 iGABA replaced the German Australian Chamber of Industry Queensland Chapter and is now the new official representative for the German Australian Business community in Queensland.
Thank you to our partner Wearing Memories Wine Merchants for delighting our guests with Royal Riviera Champagne and to our sponsors, Pitcher Partners, Bolloré Logistics, Albatross Lawyers and Brokat Studio without whom this event would not have been possible!
We look forward to seeing you all next year!
