QLD | My Little France founder joins up with Cmycities

Since 2012, My Little France has been looking after French Working Holiday Makers who want to settle in Australia and has helped them to organise their trip of a lifetime.

This year, Maitena Hernandez founder of My Little France has joined Cmycities as a destination expert to offer her skills and experience to a larger audience of travellers.

Start-up born in 2017

Cmycities is an international network of correspondents offering consulting services and travel planning.

Cmycities offer you a destination expert, a local that will help you organise your trip. The expert will guide you to make the right choices and will answer all your questions during both the phase of your preparation and for the duration of your stay.

Being in touch with someone who knows their city and country well, who will work with you to find the best options to suit you, and someone who can give you all the best ideas to make your stay unforgettable.

Larissa Jounot and Hélène Fihey, co-founders of Cmycities met during the organisation of Hélène and her family’s trip to Vietnam. Larissa lived in Vietnam and was able to accompany Hélène on all the organisation - from obtaining visas, booking domestic flights, and the selection of hotels and activities for the kids... The trip was fabulous and the encounter unforgettable!

Following this experience, they had the idea in 2017 to launch a network of local correspondents to provide an answer to the question they often received:

"Do you know someone in Hanoi? Or in New York? I have booked my flight tickets for my holiday, but I have not organised anything else yet!"

Thinking of their recent experience, the two founders intended to come up with a plan to solve this puzzle of sourcing local knowledge during the preparing and planning of holidays.

Their target market

Fans of travel like them, who do not want to waste hours reading guides (often obsolete and impersonal) or forums (anonymous), nor to use a traditional agency (formatted or too expensive).

Their aim

Personalised human relationships - no question of algorithms or pre-established selections - and especially no commercial agreements with recommended providers.

Cmycities relies on a network - to date about thirty correspondents around the world, and their numbers are growing every month. All the correspondents live at the travel destination, know intimately their city and their country and speak several languages.

Their mission: to listen to travellers, answer all their questions, guide them and inspire them! Before and during their stay, Cmycities correspondents can be contacted remotely by mail, videocalls, Whatsapp... it's up to you!

Today, Cmycities also offers a service for students and expatriates.

In Australia, we introduce Maitena who is at your disposal to share her local knowledge, contacts, and her experience and this network! Do not wait any longer, plan your next trip with Cmycities!
