Whether you are a French Company or Entrepreneur in Australia, you are now eligible to recruit a V.I.E.
What is a V.I.E ?
V.I.E enables French companies to send a young person between 18 and 28 years of age on a working assignment abroad for a flexible period of 6 to 24 months. This working assignment can be renewed once within a 2- year period. It is open to young French candidates, of all educational backgrounds, who have fulfilled their national service obligations, as well as to young people from the European Economic Area meeting the same conditions. It appeals to strongly motivated young people: recent graduates, often with some work experience or wishing to take a year out from college.
Which companies can benefit from the V.I.E program?
Companies under French law wishing to expand their activities abroad, with a host structure in the country in question able to supervise the intern are eligible to recruit a V.I.E. If you do not have the required local structure, Business France is able to provide you with placement under the guidance and supervision of a French group. This supervision can happen especially via Partenariat France Association or sponsorship by a French External Trade Counsellor. These associations will be able to provide office facilities for the V.I.E. Within French Chamber of Commerce abroad, foreign Trade Commissions or via the Foreign Trade advisors’ network in France. Private export consulting companies also propose this service.
What is the E.F.E program ?
The French Foreign Trade Advisors and CCI France International have decided to join forces in order to support EFEs as effectively as possible by creating a new structure: EFE International.
The E.F.E program enables French entrepreneurs in Australia to recruit V.I.E', even if their company is not registered in France.
The mission of EFE International is to:
- Develop French trade overseas
- Provide services to French entrepreneurs overseas
- Strengthen the relationship between French Entrepreneurs overseas and France
