Accor partners with Victoria's Brady family on two hotels
The joint venture plans for two new hotels is scheduled to open in 2021 and 2022.
The Brady family will own The Sebel Melbourne Ringwood in Melbourne's east and Peppers Melbourne Richmond, both new-build hotels.
The Sebel Melbourne Ringwood, located at 98 Maroondah Highway, will add 103 rooms to Melbourne east’s growth corridor in Ringwood, 23km east of Melbourne's CBD, slated to open in 2021.
While Peppers Melbourne Richmond, at 203-207 Bridge Road located 1 kilometre from the Melbourne Cricket Ground, will deliver 83 rooms with plans for a 2022 opening date.
The move sees the Brady family's first move into the hotel sector.
“This major dual hotel announcement, shows Amber Property Group’s enthusiasm as owners entering the hotel scene,” Accor Pacific Chief operating officer Simon McGrath said on the partnership.
Accor struck a deal with developer Lewis Land Group for a new build Mercure hotel in Sydney's Rouse Hill that will deliver 78 rooms.
Melbourne-based Amber Property Group is a boutique development group involved in residential and commercial real estate. Amber’s portfolio comprises car dealerships, along with mid-to-high end apartments.
