Christopher EdwardsGeneral Manager - Services, Thales

Chris is currently the General Manager of Thales Services and the Brisbane Support Centre, primarily focused on providing critical support services to military users of the Bushmaster and Hawkei protected vehicles. He has an extensive background in Project Management, having delivered infrastructure projects and complex systems integration projects both within Defence and Industry.

Originally from Germany, Chris has completed a short but active career in the British Army serving as a Military Engineer with deployments to Afghanistan (x3), Jordan and Kenya. Prior to his military career, Chris spent a number of years working in the travel insurance sector managing medical repatriations for ill or injured clients.  Following his military career, Chris moved to Australia with his wife, where he began his career with Thales.

Chris is an active supporter of Defence Businesses in Queensland, supporting the Australian Industry Defence Network (AIDN) and the Aerospace & Defence Subcommittee within FACCI. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and an Executive Masters in Complex Program Leadership. In his spare time Chris is a keen triathlete and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
