First Nations Engagement Initiative

Acknowledgement of Country

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples should be aware that this website contains images or names of people who have passed away.

About the Initiative

Building on high-level conversations held in 2025, including a C-Suite discussion with Bureau Veritas in Melbourne and a roundtable in WA attended by French Minister Thani Mohamed Soihili and Former Ambassador of France to Australia Pierre André Imbert, FACCI is developing a national First Nations Engagement Initiative.

Taking shape as an event series across Australia, the initiative creates a platform for peer-to-peer dialogue on reconciliation and respectful engagement, with each event grounded in local perspectives and involving relevant First Nations organisations.

With Bureau Veritas as principal partner, the series brings together senior decision-makers to move beyond conversation and drive meaningful, lasting collaboration between the business community and First Nations peoples.
