Katie McNamaraChief Strategy & Customer Officer of Super Retail Group

Katie has over 20 years’ experience with retail, fast moving consumer goods companies in Australia, Europe, America and Asia, as a senior executive in Strategy and M&A, a consultant and an Entrepreneur. Katie is Chief Strategy & Customer Officer at Super Retail Group - encompassing leading Retail brands Super Cheap Auto, BCF (Boating, Camping, Fishing), Rebel Sports and Macpac.

She joined Super Retail from IBM where she led IBM’s Digital Strategy & iX Business across Asia Pacific. Katie worked with clients to Digitally Reinvent their businesses, helping make the right strategic decisions, and then implementing whole of business Digital Transformations.

Whilst at Deloitte, Katie was the Lead Partner for Deloitte Australia’s Strategy Consulting practice, sat on the Global Strategy Leadership team as the Asia Pacific Regional lead, and led the National CPG sector. She was also the Director of Strategy and Business Development at Foster's Group and Treasury Wine Estates, leading up to, during and post the Demerger of the Beer and Wine Businesses.

Her past experience in management consulting includes McKinsey & Company where she worked across diverse industries with a special interest in retail operations and cultural change. She is also a Pharmacist, with retail stores in Tasmania.

Katie has been widely recognised for her excellence in Strategy and General Management, as the Telstra Tasmanian Business Woman of the year in 1999, Inducted into the Australian Businesswoman's Hall of Fame in 2000 & named the Young Australian Career Achiever of the Year in 2000.

Finally, she was awarded the Faulding Scholarship to Harvard University, and the Rupert Murdoch Fellowship for her MBA at Melbourne Business School & Cornell University. Katie was awarded the Centenary Medal for her Services to Australian Society in 2003.
