The Future of Transportation: the Driverless &Sharing revolutions- Tuesday 15 May

The French-Australian Chamber of CommerceQueensland Chapter is pleased to invite you to its first Transport & Infrastructure event of the year dedicated to The Future of Transportation on Tuesday 15 May from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Our guest speakers, listed below, will provide different perspectives on the future of vehicles, customer solutions and analytics:

  • Simon Pearce, Head of Asia Pacific for Easy Mile. Easy Mile is a French company that has developed and launched driverless electric shuttle buses in 20 countries and recently trialled their autonomous vehicle technology in Ipswich.
  • Kate Carlson, Director Policy Solutions at Queensland Transport & Main Roads, leads the development of strategies to prepare the public transport network for emerging trends such as alternative payment methods, new service delivery models, and autonomous vehicles.
  • Tim Arbuckle, Partner and Lead of Deloitte's Transport and 'Future of Mobility' team in New Zealand, advises on the commercial arrangements between the public and private sectors for the provision of passenger and freight transport services, including emerging mobility solutions.

The event will include drinks and a light dinner kindly provided by our host and Patron member, Deloitte.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS

Simon Pearce
Head of Asia Pacific, EasyMile

Simon joined Easymile as Head of Asia Pacific in 2017. Simon was previously CIO for Transdev Australasia. Simon has over 21 years of experience as an IT executive across many industries including pharmaceutical distribution, utilities, education and public transport and has previously held senior management positions with DKSH, Zinfra Group and CSL. As a result, his diverse experience has fostered his expertise in Information Communication Technology (ICT) disciplines, including; sourcing, commercial and vendor management as well as an aptitude to understand and predict trends and challenges in the technology industry. Simon’s working knowledge of ICT solutions, proficiency in implementing new projects and his excellent project management skills make him a valuable member of Easymile's executive team. Simon holds numerous certifications in business systems, programming, and security administration; he has also participated in the Leadership Development Program from the Centre for Organisation Development.

Kate Carlson
Director Policy Solutions, Translink, Department of Transport & Main Roads

Kate is a senior policy professional with wide ranging experience in strategy development, policy analysis and advice, project/program management, stakeholder engagement, and public administration and policy reform. She has over 15 years of experience in State and Federal Governments and has led major government initiatives including a review of bus driver safety, reforms of the personalised transport industry, public transport fare and zone reform, and contestability reviews of government services. Kate leads the development of strategies to prepare the public transport network for emerging trends such as alternative payment methods, new service delivery models, and autonomous vehicles.

Tim Arbuckle
Partner and Lead of Deloitte's Transport and 'Future of Mobility' team in New Zealand

Tim Arbuckle is Deloitte’s transport and ‘Future of Mobility’ lead in New Zealand. He also works extensively with state governments across Australia. As a small open economy New Zealand has a regulatory framework well suited to the testing and learning of new mobility technologies. Tim advises on the commercial arrangements between the public and private sectors for the provision of passenger and freight transport services, including emerging mobility solutions such as on demand transport and integrated mobile payments. He believes government has an active role to play in realising the potential customer, economic and social benefits from the future of mobility.
