FACCI is pleased to invite you to its next Energy & Resources discussing Australia and France capabilities in rare earths.

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry WA Chapter is pleased to invite you to its next Energy & Resources event dedicated to rare earths exploration and production in Western Australia (and France). Proudly sponsored by GHD, this event will take place on Thursday 27 May from 5pm to 7pm in person @GHB Building and from 5:30pm (AWST) in streaming.

Rare earths are the topic of the moment. The Australian and US governments have included them in the list of ‘critical minerals. At the same time, France and the EU are investing massively in renewable energy and need access to rare earths for their automotive, energy and defence industries.

Various specialists and government officials will join us to address the mater and give insight on the topic.

The seminar will discuss the following points:

  • Can Australia become a new powerhouse in rare earths production?
Presented by Chris Clark - Deputy Director General, Resources & Project Facilitation, Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
  • How can rare earths be processed into oxides, metals and magnets outside China?
Presented by Amanda Lacaze, Chief Executive Officer, LYNAS.
  • Can French expertise complement Australian resources to build strategic partnerships?
Presented by Fernando Guerra Alves, Head of Industry Department, French Embassy Trade Commission AU & NZ  & Frederic Carencotte, Chief Executive Officer, CARESTER.

The session will be moderated by Christian Barbier, Founder and Director, ‎CRB Resources.

We look forward to you joining us and gaining insight on this topical matter!
