ENGIE and Bureau Veritas inaugurate their pioneering label

ENGIE, in collaboration with Bureau Veritas, launches a new label: "TED"

ENGIE furthers its commitment in favour of a growing transition towards renewable sources of energy with its new label, jointly designed with Bureau Veritas, world leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification.

The new label is named "TED" and stands short for Transition Energétique Durable (Sustainable Energy Transition). The launch of this pioneering label in France aims at providing guarantees of rigour and transparency regarding the development and operations of renewable activities.

Bureau Veritas oversees the implementation of the certification process and will support ENGIE through follow-up audits throughout the years:

  • All ENGIE onshore wind and solar activities in France are concerned from now on, with a view to certification by Bureau Veritas in June 2022;
  • The approach will be extended to methanization activities in France in the course of 2022;
  • Follow-up audits will be conducted by Bureau Veritas in 2023 and 2024.
