Mazars appoints Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Specialist, Damien Lambert

Mazars has announced the appointment of Damien Lambert as Head of Sustainability Services in Melbourne.

Mazars, the international audit, tax and advisory firm announced the appointment of Damien Lambert as Head of Sustainability Services in Melbourne. 

Melbourne Managing Partner, Richard DeBono commented:

"We are delighted to have Damien join the firm and lead our sustainability division.  Damien brings a unique skillset of both practical and academic experience focused on ESG issues [...]."

Damien has two decades of experience in accounting and ESG practices including six years assurance experience in Europe, where he audited banks and asset management companies, and eleven years of research and lecturing experience, including most recently at Monash University in Melbourne. Damien’s research focused on examining non-financial reporting and ESG matters such as water & wastewater, community and stakeholder engagement, corporate governance mechanisms and shareholder activism.

Among his other educational achievements, Damien holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from ESSEC Business School in France, has an MBA, and has completed his chartered accounting certification. Throughout his research, he has also authored and been a co-author of governance and auditing publications, as well as several research reports.

Commenting on his appointment, Damien Lambert concluded:
