Petite France Immersion offers French immersion weekends on your doorstep.

In the heart of the historic town of Mintaro, in the beautiful Clare Valley, just 90 minutes from Adelaide, awaits a unique and enchanting experience for language enthusiasts and Francophiles alike - Petite France Immersion. Led by the dynamic duo, Jean-Marc and Lynne Spiler, this immersive weekend promises an unforgettable journey into the heart and soul of French culture, language, and joie de vivre.

From the beautiful and rustics streets to the charming country-style architecture, Mintaro provides the perfect backdrop for a weekend escape to a French country village. The program offers five levels of immersion, ensuring participants can enjoy the experience at their own pace and comfort, with no stress or pressure. The motto of the weekend?

Le plus important, c’est d’ESSAYER! - The most important thing is to TRY!

The weekend kicks off with a Welcome Dinner and Soirée Cinéma, the dinner will be cooked by Lynne, an Australian who has developed an irrepressible love for traditional French cuisine “comme à la maison”, which she’ll put to good use for the Saturday night Grand Dîner.

Throughout the weekend, participants can indulge in daily French workshops, led by Jean-Marc, a true Parisian at heart and an experienced French teacher. From the Language of Wine and Tasting with Alexandra at Reillys to a game of "Feral Pétanque" and the Grand Soirée de Fête with the Quiz du Siècle, every moment is designed to bring the spirit of France to Mintaro.

Sunday will be marked by an Atelier Crêpes then their tastings et Histoire de la Bretagne with Stéphane, a former French chef turned airline pilot, ensuring a delightful end to the weekend.

The team behind Petite France Immersion is a diverse group of passionate Francophiles, each bringing their unique touch to the program:

  • Jean-Marc Spiler: A true Parisian, French teacher, and lead singer of Les Flâneurs Volants, a successful Adelaide-based French cover band.
  • Lynne Spiler: An Adelaide girl with a love for French cuisine and a knack for entertaining language learners.
  • Stéphane: The Crêpe Master and history enthusiast, adding a dash of Brittany's charm to the weekend.
  • Alexandra: A French Champagne-born wine expert, guiding participants through the Language of Wine and Tasting Workshop.
  • Katti: Lynne's right hand, contributing to the Crêpe Making and Brittany History Workshop.

Petite France Immersion promises a weekend filled with laughter, learning, and the sheer joy of being French, if only for a few days. With limited spots available (12 maximum, 8 minimum), now is the time to embrace the opportunity to "ESSAYER" and immerse yourself in the delightful world of French culture.
