Philip Davies
Former CEO, Infrastructure Australia
Philip is the former Chief Executive of Infrastructure Australia.
He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, with over 25 years of experience.
In addition to shaping policy, delivering nationally significant infrastructure projects, leading reform within the infrastructure sector, Philip has held various executive leadership positions here and overseas. Philip has also held various Board positions in commercial and public life over more than 3 decades including as Deputy Chair of the Committee for Sydney and a Board member of Infrastructure Partnerships Australia.
During his time leading Infrastructure Australia, he provided independent expert advice to all levels of government on infrastructure, including, advocating for reforms on key issues including means of funding, financing, delivering and operating infrastructure and how to better plan and utilise infrastructure networks.
Infrastructure Australia develops and maintains Australia’s infrastructure priorities in the form of the Infrastructure Priority List (IPL). The IPL provides governments, the community and the private sector with a list of nationally significant infrastructure initiatives and projects underpinned by the evidence base of regular Audits. This list is regularly updated and project assessments published by Infrastructure Australia.
