ENGIE taking hydrogen to the streets of Melbourne

A vehicle powered by hydrogen fuel cells around the streets of Melbourne.

As a leader in the zero-carbon transition, ENGIE aspires to be a major player in the field of green hydrogen. This energy source offers ENGIE the opportunity to utilise the solutions across the full value chain, from renewable energy to powering emissions-free transport.

ENGIE  has grown active on the search and involvement on hydrogen projects in Australia and has recently become an executive member of industry body Hydrogen Mobility Australia.

Through their membership with HMA, they gladly took up the opportunity to drive a vehicle powered by hydrogen fuel cells around the streets of Melbourne. In the coming weeks, Engie's Chief Development Officer Tolga Dagli, will be taking the vehicle to some of their key partners. Tolga will be giving hands-on demonstrations of the benefits of a car powered by hydrogen – no emissions, no noise, and an exhaust that releases only clean water.

Engie's team is excited at the potential of making clean, renewable transport technology a reality in Australia and New Zealand.
