European Health & Life Sciences industry in Australia: Insights from Cross Chambers Roundtable
European pharmaceutical and Life Sciences members met for a joint roundtable by AHK, FACCI, and SwissCham, leading to the creation of a white paper.
The German (AHK), French (FACCI) and Swiss (SwissCham) Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Australia invited their members of the pharmaceutical and Life Sciences sector to a joint roundtable at the Sanofi premises in Sydney on 13 August 2024. The conversation was facilitated and moderated by Elizabeth de Somer and Anne-Maree Englund from Medicines Australia.
The roundtable provided a neutral environment to discuss ongoing challenges and matters of importance among the industry members and to develop synergies and appropriate collaboration to achieve desired outcomes for all stakeholders.
The discussion touched on three main areas:
1. Research and clinical development
2. Market access and supply sustainability
3. Impact of the geo-political situation on the Australian pharmaceutical industry
