Holding Redlich Marks 19th Year as WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality

Holding Redlich achieves its 19th consecutive WGEA citation, citing progress in pay equity and its 26-week paid parental leave for primary carers.
National law firm Holding Redlich has received the Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation by the Australian Government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) for the 19th year in a row.
This recognition follows the firm’s continued focus on delivering measurable outcomes across pay equity, supported by career development programs and flexible working policies. This year’s citation follows a more rigorous assessment framework with two tiers of recognition, with Holding Redlich attaining the more stringent citation.
Gender Equality Outcomes
The firm’s policies, leadership capability, and day-to-day practices are designed to support equitable outcomes at every stage of the employee lifecycle. This includes a paid parental leave offering of 26 weeks for primary carers, alongside structured career development and return-to-work support.
“Achieving this recognition from WEGA reflects a sustained focus on delivering consistent and measurable gender equality outcomes, supported by structured policies and continuous improvement across the business.” — Troy Lewis, National Managing Partner, Holding Redlich
Addressing the Gender Pay Gap
While the national median employer gender pay gap has narrowed to 16.4%, the firm has outlined steps to continue supporting women at all stages of their careers. This involves ongoing analysis of remuneration data, benchmarking against industry standards, and regular gender pay equity audits. These actions are designed to ensure all employees are fairly represented and rewarded in the workplace.
Leadership and Representation
The WGEA citation acknowledges organisations that demonstrate a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to gender equality, including leadership accountability and measurable outcomes in recruitment and staff promotion.
Holding Redlich continues to focus on strengthening female representation across senior lawyer, management, and partnership levels. This is supported by targeted development initiatives, succession planning, and inclusive leadership practices to embed gender equality into the everyday employee experience.
“Citation holders demonstrate strong gender-equal outcomes at the moments that matter most to women and men at work. They go beyond policy and programs, embedding gender equality into the everyday employee experience.” — Mary Wooldridge, CEO, WGEA
