The International Cool Climate Wine Show (ICCWS) is hosting a public tasting event featuring wines from its 2024 edition in Melbourne on July 27th.
Established as a premier showcase for cool climate wines in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere, the ICCWS invites attendees to explore and enjoy a diverse selection of wines entered this year's show. From the Mornington Peninsula to regions across Australia and beyond, guests can sample hundreds of wines across 39 different classes.
In addition to the tasting, the event offers three Wine Experiences, intimate 'mini masterclasses' led by wine experts with limited seating of only 15 participants per session, providing deeper insights into the world of wine.
Founded in 2000 and celebrating its 23rd edition in 2024, the ICCWS draws entries from renowned cool climate regions spanning Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales, Tasmania, New Zealand, as well as international participants from France, Italy, the USA, Germany, Austria, Argentina, Chile, the UK, and other countries. This global participation underscores the show's growing international prominence.
The ICCWS aims to promote excellence in cool climate winemaking, offering winegrowers a platform to benchmark their wines against peers from Australia, New Zealand, and globally. The event takes place in Greater Melbourne, Australia.
Each year, the ICCWS showcases over 500 wines from around the world, including varieties like sparkling wines, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Prosecco, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Dolcetto, Barolo, Riesling, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, and others.
For wine retailers, restaurateurs, sommeliers, wine writers, students, and enthusiasts, this event presents a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of cool climate wines, appreciating both their breadth and depth.
