Discover the portrait of Bénédicte Colin, President of FACCI NSW chapter, in this exclusive interview.

The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce is pleased to introduce to you our NSW Chapter president. Discover the exclusive interview of Bénédicte Colin, in which she describes her role and experience.

What is your career background?

"I am a lawyer by background, but when I came to Australia in 2007, my diploma was not recognised. So, I moved to more commercial, operational and leadership roles in infrastructure."

When did you join FACCI?

"I joined the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce in 2015. At the time, I was the CEO of Keolis Downer."

What was(were) the reason(s) for you to want to get involved? What is your role and mission at FACCI?

"I joined Team France under the leadership of the then ambassador Christophe LeCourtier. I am now the President of the NSW Chapter."

What is for you, the key for success?

"The key for success is for me TEAM WORK, between the operational team and the councillors, and the willingness to help each other. We are all volunteers, so this is about giving back and empowering the operational team. I love their dynamism, energy and positive attitude. It’s very refreshing."

What are you the most proud of?

"I am very proud of the Breakfast with NSW Transport Minister and showcasing French companies’ excellence and involvement in flagship projects in New South Wales."

What is the most challenging for you?

"I find challenging bringing new members and lifting up the bar, so that FACCI becomes more than a social network, and provides a true platform for professional networking to its members - we can do it! Every event is a small move in that direction."

What is the main upcoming project?

"Our next main project is the 2019 Schneider Electric Business Forum which is a big event for us, taking place in the 5 states where FACCI operates.

This year’s theme is Social Licence to Operate: Reinventing the growth engine. This event, during which we will bring together key speakers from government, senior academic circles and pioneering French, Australian and international companies, is once again one of the focal points of the year.  It will showcase some of the best innovative practices and highlight new solutions."
