The French-Australian Chamber of Commerce is pleased to introduce to you our WA Chapter President. Discover the exclusive interview of Christine Caseris, in which she describes her role and experience.

What is your career background?

"I have a career background in Commerce, specialised in implementation of strategies for international business development."

When did you join FACCI?

"In 2012 -I founded the WA Chapter – at the demand of  the Ambassador for France, Mr Filhol-  following a mission I performed in 2007 for the “Mission Economique” (now Business France), showcasing the economic bilateral relationship between France and the State of WA. The mission was programmed on 3 weeks with 15 events."

What was(were) the reason(s) for you to want to get involved?

"As 2012 was very dynamic in the Resources sector, a support in services for our SMEs, Start-up and Intermediate French companies was needed."

What is your role and mission at FACCI?

"I manage the Chapter- including the WA operational team, create the events, develop the Memberships and assist the companies in their business development."

What is for you, the key for success?

"To keep the quality of our FACCI services and network at a high standard, but mostly to create a strong partnership with the operational team, our Members and State government network."

What are you the most proud of?

"Our Industries exhibitions, Missions in partnership with Business France and when a Start-up Member becomes a Corporate Member, showcasing the strength of our network."

What is the most challenging for you?

"Maintaining our Memberships’ level. Since the downfall of the resources’ economy in WA we have seen French companies closing their office in Perth."

What is the main upcoming project?

"The 2019 Schneider Electric National Business Forum, taking place in Perth on the 24th of October."
