With the COVID Pandemic, the war in Ukraine and other global events, the Australian Federal Government saw fit to alter the SOCI Act legislation to better protect Australia's critical infrastructure assets. The Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure Protection) Act 2022 (SLACIP ACT) commenced on April 2 2022 to better cater to the need for infrastructure protection in 2022.
