Nestle appoints Red Havas as PR agency of record for its chocolate and confectionery business

Nestlé Australia has appointed Red Havas as PR Agency of Record for its confectionery business following a competitive pitch.

Red Havas will work across the KitKat and Allen’s portfolio with the aim of bringing the agency’s unique proposition of building meaningful connections between people and brands, to the world’s largest food and beverage company.

Red Havas’ full remit includes creating PR, influencer and brand experience programs for both brands, putting storytelling at the heart. Red will be charged with building brand equity while also supporting significant campaign and product launches slated to take place later this year, spearheaded by a pipeline of exciting innovation.

To kick off the partnership, Red will partner KitKat on some of its most ambitious projects to date, developing strategic propositions that drive conversation as it continues to elevate its position as one of Australia’s fastest-growing confectionery brands. Australia’s iconic Allen’s brand will be supported with a focus on championing it’s fun personality to new and existing fans and driving its range of NPDs for this year.

Joyce Tan, head of marketing at Nestlé said:

“We have huge ambitions for 2020 and we are looking forward to working with Red Havas to help us achieve our goals. We’re excited to see the team’s strategic rigour and breakthrough creative ideas get consumers talking about KitKat and Allen’s in a more meaningful way than ever before.”

Sarah Trombetta, CEO of Red Havas Australia said:

“Nestle Confectionery is home to some of Australia’s most well-loved brands so we’re excited to partner up and increase the impact both KitKat and Allen’s have on today’s popular culture. We believe the holy grail is to be a meaningful brand and that data-driven insights and creativity lie at the heart of achieving that mission. Watch this space for some uniquely shareable storytelling in the coming months.”
