WA | New Technologies: Shaping a New Digital Era with Atos

Full house during our first New Technologies event of the year, in partnership with Atos!

On the 29th of May 2019, the French-Australia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FACCI) WA Chapter held its first New Technologies – Industry Series of the year in partnership with Atos.

“Shaping a New Digital Era” was the theme discussed by Mr. James White, Managing Consultant WA from ATOS and Mr. Vince Troth, Regional Manager from SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC.

Since the mid 1800’s, manufacturing technologies have consistently revolutionised the way that society operates and has enhanced and transformed the way businesses were run. Today, as we enter into the Fourth Industrial Revolution, connected machines and devices are shaping the future of businesses into highly operational businesses.

This was strongly demonstrated by our first guest speaker James White from ATOS, whom started the presentation by introducing his company as a global leader in digital transformation with 120,000 employees in 73 countries and an annual revenue of over €12billion.

European number one in Cloud, Cybersecurity and High-Performance Computing, ATOS Group provides end-to-end Orchestrated Hybrid Cloud, Big Data, Business Applications and Digital Workplace solutions through its Digital Transformation Factory, as well as transactional services through Worldline, the European leader in the payment industry. With its cutting-edge technologies and industry knowledge, ATOS supports the digital transformation of its clients across all business sectors.

James went into a more technical aspect of ATOS by presenting its capability in the new technology sector highlighting the increasingly mainstream topic of Digital Twins which, coupled with analytics and cognitive solutions, are solving real life issues in many industries.

Our second guest Speaker, Vince Troth, Regional Manager of SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC, presented and highlighted the main ongoing projects of Schneider within the new technologies industry.

Vince emphasised the capability of SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC with its leading Digital Transformation of Energy Management and Automation in Homes, Buildings, Data Centers, Infrastructure and Industries.
