Jean-Gabriel FagetGeneral Manager, Enercal

Jean-Gabriel Faget is the General manager of Enercal which is in charge of managing the integrated electric system  in New Caledonia from production, transmission to distribution and is a key player in conducting the energic transition plan set by the Government of New Caledonia for 100% renewable energies for public distribution in 2030.

Jean-Gabriel grew up in New Caledonia. He graduated from a selective engineering school in mainland France and came back a few years later to New Caledonia in the early 2000s to join Enercal. He has been in charge of the transport and distribution department before becoming deputy General Manager of a sister company, part of EDF Group www.edf.fr/en , in Guadeloupe– French overseas department in the Caribbean. He moved back to New Caledonia 2 years ago as a special advisor of the former General Manager before replacing him more than a year ago.
