Integrated food and facilities management services provider Sodexo Australia (Sodexo) has been awarded a significant five-year contract with Santos, further strengthening its presence in Australia’s energy and resources sector.
The contract will considerably increase Sodexo’s operations in Australia and expand its geographical coverage. Under the agreement, Sodexo will deliver services across Santos’ operations, spanning from Gladstone and the Surat Basin in Queensland to the Cooper Basin in South Australia and Varanus Island in Western Australia.
Over the past four years, as part of its active portfolio management strategy, Sodexo has refined its service offering within the Australian energy and resources market.
Keith Weston, Managing Director of Sodexo Australia, said:
"We thank Santos for selecting Sodexo as their partner for the future. For over 25 years we have serviced the Australian energy and resources sector with a spirit of innovation and exceptional service.
This award follows from a strong period of contract growth for Sodexo, further expands our presence in Australia’s eastern states, and highlights our unwavering commitment to the industry."

The agreement covers the provision of accommodation management, housekeeping, catering and hospitality, aerodrome operations, facilities maintenance, and health and wellbeing services across 26 camps, comprising 3,500 rooms and an average daily occupancy of around 2,000 residents.
In total, the scope of the contract will support over 500 jobs within Sodexo, while also offering opportunities for local suppliers and businesses across Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia—delivering meaningful benefits to the communities involved.
The mobilisation of the contract began in December, with the handover of the Varanus Island and Devil Creek camps in Western Australia.
On the East Coast, phased mobilisations started with Singers Camp, where the first meal was served on 22 February. All sites are now fully mobilised.
