Neoen Australia powers up Queensland's SuperGrid with 100% clean energy

Thanks to the Kaban Green Power Hub producing 100% clean energy, Neoen shows its commitment to community respect and sustainable practices.

Neoen Australia announces the charging of Queensland’s SuperGrid with 100% clean energy, courtesy of the 157 MW Kaban Green Power Hub. 

Standing in the Far North region of the state, Neoen's 149m new wind turbines mark a significant achievement for the company and its partners Vestas and GHD. This collaborative effort has not only met Neoen's goal for energy, but also exceed its target of 30% local employment.

Neoen acknowledges the contributions of the Jirrbal People / Wabubadda Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC, the Traditional Owners of the lands on which Kaban is located.

In close partnership with Tagai Management Consultants and learning from the Jirrbal People/Wabubadda Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC, Neoen has achieved over 11% First Nations employment. This outcome reflects the company's commitment to fostering inclusivity and respecting the communities it operates within.

In extending appreciation, Neoen acknowledges the ongoing support from the communities of Tumoulin, Ravenshoe, and Atherton, as well as the Tablelands Regional Council.

Looking ahead, Neoen is eager to contribute to local initiatives through its annual benefit-sharing program, reinforcing its commitment to making a positive impact on the communities it serves.
