Queensland Symphonic Orchestra announces annual Young Instrumentalist Prize winners

This prize has launched the performing dreams of many young musicians.

Queensland Symphony Orchestra's annual Young Instrumentalist Prize has launched the performing dreams of many young musicians. It is an opportunity for exceptional Queensland school students to audition before a panel of Queensland Symphony Orchestra musicians and artistic staff. Six finalists are selected to perform in the Finalists' Recital, with cash prizes and mentoring opportunities available to each finalist and recording and performance opportunities available to the winner.  

This year, the winners are Andre Oberleuter (bassoon) and Anna Suzuki (violin).
